If you live in a high storm or hail region of the country, your insurance company may require UL2218 Class 4 impact-resistant shingles. Our Duration STORM? and Duration FLEX? shingles fit that need; available regionally.

Duration FLEX? is our Class 4 impact-resistant, SBS polymer-modified asphalt shingle. The rubberizing effect of our uniquely blended SBS modified asphalt makes the shingles pliable and gives them greater flexibility than standard shingles. And that flexibility helps them resist cracking and tearing in all weather conditions, like cold weather.

Patented WeatherGuard? Technology helps Duration STORM? Shingles achieve a UL 2218 Class 4 rating, the highest rating for impact resistance, by integrating a polymeric backing material on the shingle. This scrim reinforcement helps the shingle withstand the impact of hail.

Available only in California, Duration? COOL shingles are rated by the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) and meet the prescriptive Cool Roof requirements of California Title 24, Part 6. They also meet City of Los Angeles Cool Roof requirements. Duration? COOL Shingles feature deep, rich colors which are unexpected for solar-reflecting shingles that are typically very light in color.

Duration? Premium COOL Shingles are ENERGY STAR? qualified giving them a higher reflectivity than Duration? Cool shingles. For California specifically, they are rated by the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) and meet the prescriptive Cool Roof requirements of California Title 24, Part 6. They also meet the City of Los Angeles Cool Roof requirements. The shingles are offered nationwide in four colors.
